The Institute at Center of Awakening

What's New

New Student Information Packet Available On-line
A newly-designed 17-page Student Information Packet is now available on-line (click here for file). This file provides information about The Institute, the instructors, classes, degree programs, tuition and fees, as well as providing registration forms for the undergraduate program and ministerial studies. The Institute offers accredited classes toward Bachelor and Master degrees in Religious Studies. Discuss your options with Dr. Vern Martin, Dean of The Institute at (303) 805-9890, if this is something you would like to pursue. You can also send an email with questions relating to scheduling and book requirements to the Education Coordinator at ChurchAdmin@CenterOfAwakening.org.

The Clock Is Ticking!
For those students considering entering Practitioner II (Prac II) studies in September, the time is HERE! The Prac II course is currently offered only in odd-numbered years (Practitioner I in even-numbered years). A number of classes are required before making the 30-week commitment to Practitioner I. If you have already taken the pre-requisites - Foundations, Self-Mastery, Treatment & Meditation and Exploring Roots - and you're eager to dig deeper into your spiritual studies, you may find Practitioner I the right place to be. Whether you intend to pursue a career as a Licensed Practitioner or not, these advanced classes will open you to continued self-growth and added enlightenment. Check the upcoming class schedule and discuss your options with Dr. Vern (303) 805-9890.

Several New Classes Now Offered
The Institute's curriculum now includes several new classes: Living with Healthy Boundaries (104), Practical Mysticism (207), and Writings of Holmes (108). Please review the course descriptions for additional details (click here for file), as well as required and optional books for the class. You can also stop by the Education Center on Sundays and talk to our Institute staff about these and other classes offered, and to obtain class schedules and descriptions to help you in planning your Religious Science study plan.

New Instructors at The Institute
As the curriculum at The Institute expands, so does the teaching staff. Two new instructors, Mike Ryan and Lynda Sinton, began their tenure in the Summer 2006 when they began co-teaching Treatment & Meditation. Lynda and Mike are both Religious Science Practitioners and have taken nearly every class offered at The Institute. Jami Martin, RScP, recently began teaching at The Institute as well. Jami is currently a ministerial student and brings a wealth of information to her classes. New facilitators means new class offerings. Watch The Institute grow!
